Mom's Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Cup Planters Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped planters cocktail peanuts
  • 1 Tsb vanilla

Preparation:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl with a mixer beat the egg until foamy. Add remaining ingredients, mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls, place them 2 inches apart , on baking sheets. Flatten in criss-cross  pattern, with tines or forks. Bake for 10 Min. or until lightly browned cook on baking sheets for 1 Min. remove to wire racks cool completely.

Mom always played songs while we were working. As she stood at the table mixing the eggs in with the peanut butter. I sat waiting till she was ready for me to shape up the dough into 1 inch balls. So I often just sat and listen to music, and watch because, she didn't want me to mess with her till it was my turn. I loved being in the kitchen because, it gave me more time to spend with my mother also learn about many other different things. I really liked being in there when she made cookies. I enjoyed them most of all.

Nodding, I hear my mother call and tell me it's my turn to shape up the dough into 1 inch balls. I jumped with joy as I placed the balls on the cookie sheet I sang my favorite songs to kind of rush time. Mom and I love playing UNO. So I wanted to rush time. Then I got a fork and did did the criss-cross on the dough. Later I placed the cookies in the oven. I had to set the timer for 10 Min. so I would know when to check to cookies to see if they were done.

To make time go by I asked mom did she want to play our favorite game "UNO"! or we would watch Sponge Bob. Of course she would choose UNO. We always made a fuss because I would always win. As I left to go get the cards she made me check on the cookies. I came back ready to defeat her in another game. Mom always would shuffle and deal the cards. I had to go first because, she deal. I "myself" had a good hand, so I was SURE to win this game once again.

Moments later the bell/timer rang on the oven to let us know if the cookies were done or lightly browned. I checked on the cookies and they were not done yet. So mom and I resumed the game of UNO. The cookies smelled So good you could almost taste the peanut butter. They smelled as good as they looked.

Mom went to get the oven mits to get the cookies out of the oven, As she did that I got out the milk. We loved the peanut butter cookies. they were one of the main things that were made for our Thanksgiving family dinner.

"An American role-reversal: Women the breadwinner"

In the story "American role-reversal: Women the breadwinner" I believe that women should be stay at home mom's, and men should go out and work and be soldiers  for the house hold. I think that women takes care of the house more then the men, and the men should be able to go out and work to make money for his family.

Also most women are better educated the men. the wife and husband don't generally consider one smarter then the other. but the men often prefer doing things with their hands or outdoors, while the women excel in school and working at a desk. Today when one spouse works full time, and the other stays home, its the wife who is the sole breadwinner in record 23% of families, the analysis finds. The role reversal has freed moms who prefer to work and dads who like to nurture. The women and men should work but women should handle the kids and the men should handle the bills and being a father. the men shouldn't do all the work by themselves the women could have a job. The women should take care of kids, while men goes to work. But most women have a job doing what they like while the kids are at school and in daycare.

Last, I think that women should be stay at home moms, and dads should go out and work. The most important person that should work would be the dad. Not saying that the mom can't have a part time job, but she also should be home to help the kid with things, and take care of the house hold.
